Outstanding Progress for All
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished MFL practitioner to join pour team. MFL is an important part of our curriculum offer with just under 50% of Year 9 selecting a Language to study at GCSE and a growing number of students carrying on with their studies into KS5. We are looking for a teacher who has experience in offering a language either French, German or Spanish.
Our 11-18 school is growing and is at an exciting stage in its development. Our dedicated new Sixth Form building opened to students in January 2021, and the Mulberry Centre, a 24 place SEND setting, opened in November 2021. You will be joining a close-knit team and a Trust that is committed to ambition, aspiration and excellence for all.
Our teaching and learning culture is built on high expectations and evidence-bound practice to secure the strongest possible outcomes for all students.
We pride ourselves on our:
- inclusive and friendly school community
- boundless enthusiasm and positivity
- strong commitment to CPD including our induction programme for new staff
If you are suitably qualified for the position and would like to discuss the role in more detail, please contact David Brewster, Headteacher, via enquiries@stowuplandhighschool.co.uk to arrange an informal chat or visit.
Candidates are advised to apply as soon as possible as Stowupland High School will be selecting and interviewing candidates as and when applications that meet the criteria are received. We are an inclusive 11-18 community school in mid-Suffolk. Our large catchment area, which covers many of the outlying villages, adds to the vibrant and stimulating culture of the school. Our current admission number allows for 210 places in Year 7.
The school opened in 1978 and our community sports centre opened in 1999.
The school is at a very exciting stage of development. Following the appointment of a new Principal in 2024, we are rapidly transforming the culture and ethos of this rural school. We are creating a school founded on genuine mutual respect.
Our warm, welcoming and friendly students have already bought into the significantly heightened expectations of behaviour, and our cohesive staff team have a palpable desire to build on this momentum and create an outstanding learning environment.
