Job overview
This is the perfect role for those who are either currently in senior leadership positions and who want wider experience before applying for Deputy or Vice Principal posts, or those already in those positions and looking for a change. The Lead Practitioner for IT/Computer Science will assist the Vice-Principal with responsibility for Teaching and Learning, and work alongside and develop other teaching staff within the subject area.
The role is diverse and you will be required to undertake a range of activities including coaching, planning, delivering training, tracking teacher and leadership development, assisting with teacher recruitment and retention, modelling strong practice, assisting with data analysis and working with curriculum and teaching and learning leads to ensure that the department is the best it can be.
There will also be a teaching commitment, but appropriate time will be allocated to your Lead Practitioner role.
We are able to offer a generous relocation package to candidates considering moving into the area.
