Princess May Primary School is looking for an exceptional KS2 teacher and curriculum leader to drive the school forward in its pursuit of becoming exceptional in all areas, and giving our children the absolute best life chances. You may be an existing middle leader looking to take the next step on your leadership journey. You will already be an exceptional KS2 teacher with a proven track record of success, with a strong interest in curriculum development and implementation.
Our statutory attainment is amongst the highest in Hackney and so it is vital that applicants have the intrinsic motivation and inspirational qualities to maintain these high standards. Candidates should be prepared to be hard-working, flexible and willing to go the extra mile in what is a very busy and high-performing one-form-entry school.
Our curriculum was developed and carefully crafted from the ground-up in 2020, and recognised in our 2023 Ofsted inspection as a strength. The successful applicant will lead on supporting all staff to implement our existing curriculum and ensure outstanding impact for our children. There will be a strong focus on year 6 attainment and progress. You will become an instrumental part of the senior leadership team. The role has a 60% teaching commitment .

Princess May is a one-form entry school in a vibrant area of the London Borough of Hackney, situated between Stoke Newington and Dalston. We currently have 210 pupils on roll, including a nursery, a high number of which are eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant and have English as an additional language. The school is fully inclusive and is an IQM Centre of Excellence for Inclusion. A strong teaching and learning team ensure that each child reaches their full potential, regardless of background or economic barriers.
