The UCS is a University Technical College encompassing Key Stage 3 and 4, along with a sixth form provision.

The UCS has an outstanding facility for 11 to 19 year olds which includes specialist laboratories. Our facilities uniquely inspire and motivate our students to succeed in their studies and propel their careers forward.

To accommodate the growing student numbers, a new £17million extension opened in September 2025, along with our Multi Use Games Area which opened in September 2024, providing an incredible space for our students and the local community to engage in a wide range of sports and activities. This fantastic addition reflects our commitment to promoting health, well-being, and inclusivity.

Our staff are subject specialists who employ a wide range of teaching and learning strategies.
