Alderwood School is seeking a highly motivated Lead Practitioner of Maths to support the raising of attainment in the department by: 

• Leading the improvement of teaching in Maths across the senior phase

• Teaching engaging, challenging lessons that pupils enjoy

• Setting very high expectations of all pupils and generating high levels of enthusiasm and commitment to learning

• Providing appropriate professional development through coaching and training

Alderwood is an all-through 4 – 16 school recently graded ‘Good’ by OFSTED, based on 3 sites, which opens up lots of exciting opportunities for the successful candidate. We are currently working on a 4-16 Maths curriculum and have established excellent links across all 3 sites. If you are a great teacher with an interest in 4-16 development, then this is the school for you!

We have high expectations of all our pupils and provide them with excellent academic and pastoral support. Our pupils enjoy an extensive range of extra-curricular activities and in collaboration with our on-site Leisure Centre we are able to offer a varied evening programme for all age ranges.  Located in Aldershot we are 30 miles from London and easily accessible from the A3/A31 and M3.
