We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher who is passionately committed to developing the quality of teaching and learning in English and literacy across the curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at Carleton High School which is part of the Pontefract Academies Trust. Dynamic, forward thinking and absolutely committed to ensuring all students make outstanding progress so they get the chances in life they deserve, we are seeking a new leader who will share our vision and values and who has the skills and motivation to develop others pedagogy.

This is a 1 FTE, permanent role.

In particular, we are seeking an individual who is:  

  • Able to inspire others to ensure students make excellent progress and achieve their best.
  • A dedicated professional with a strong moral purpose.

  • Passionate about developing their own practice.
  • An outstanding teacher who is unwavering in their commitment to promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning across the school.
  • A dynamic and proactive individual who will not be satisfied until all students are making excellent progress, and have excellent attendance.
