Ormiston NEW Academy, in association with Ormiston Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint an outstanding Lead Practitioner of English.
At Ormiston New Academy we believe that a focus on ensuring that all students feel nurtured and cared for without exception will lead to the highest attainment. The Academy are a family of truly dedicated and inspiring staff and fabulously dynamic, motivated and willing students. The Academy caters for 11 to 19 year olds and currently has 750 students on roll. Being part of OAT will mean being part of a wider network of 30+ academies providing many benefits and bringing many enrichment opportunities to the students and staff.
You will be a key leader within a well-resourced, supportive English department full of excellent practitioners, keen to share best practice and continue moving forward. We also work collaboratively with other Ormiston Academies, both locally and nationally. This ensures we are at the leading edge of the latest developments in the subject, able to deliver the highest quality professional development and provide progression opportunities within the Trust. The Academy also works closely with PiXL, with our staff leading national strategies and influencing practice elsewhere.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational individual to join our Academy who has a passion for English. Someone who is dynamic, innovative, self-motivating and able to inspire others. You will have the ability to support others to teach outstanding lessons across the age and ability range. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering English to all Key Stages, have a proven track record of student progress and have the highest expectations for the attainment of all young people.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to an exciting curriculum, which will help motivate our students to achieve beyond their potential.
