Job overview

We are looking for an experienced Practitioner in Maths who has a passion for teaching Mathematics and enabling the progression of our students. You will focus on teaching and learning and will work with the Subject Coordinator for Maths to deliver CPD, coach staff, assist in the development of appropriate and challenging schemes of work and support curriculum delivery of your subject. This is a new and exciting role for the Academy and we are looking for an individual who will make a significant contribution to our large and experienced team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering positive progress at KS4/KS5.

Our current team offer a range of extra-curricular support sessions to ensure students reach their full potential, and if successful, we would hope that you would share this ethic. Budmouth Academy has a highly successful 6th form and you will have the opportunity to teach post 16 at A Level Maths and Further Maths. We offer a comprehensive package of CPD opportunities, including nationally recognised qualifications that suit all types of career progression. These are widely available, free of charge through the ALI (the Aspirations Learning Institute) at all of the Aspirations Academy schools. In addition, Budmouth has its very own Well-being Charter and working group, as we genuinely prioritise the well-being of our staff Budmouth Academy Weymouth is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
