We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly effective Lead Practitioner of Mathematics. 

Are you passionate about your subject? A confident Practitioner who stretches and challenges the most able pupils, recognises and plans for misconceptions before they occur, and is equally effective in scaffolding teaching for those who struggle?

We require a highly effective Lead Practitioner of Mathematics, whose practice is instrumental in ensuring that students of all ages and abilities achieve consistently strong outcomes, to join our strong team. The successful candidate must also be able to effectively support other teachers across the school to rapidly and sustainably improve teaching and therefore learning outcomes.

Applicants should have a proven track record of success and be committed to further improving teaching and learning as well as student progress within the Mathematics department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to develop in a supportive, well-resourced and exciting environment.

Litherland High School is a mixed, mainstream secondary state school in Litherland, near Liverpool. It caters for 11 to 16-year-old students and has approximately 690 enrolled.

Litherland High School was founded in 1948. The secondary school was rebuilt in 2001 and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for all curriculum areas. In March 2015, it converted to academy status.
