Wellfield is a small school with an exciting future that is looking for a teaching and learning enthusiast to lead the development of Science and to be involved in the development of teaching and learning across the school and with our wider school partnerships. We are seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Science to work with the Head of our Maths and Science Faculty to develop Science into a vibrant and vital area of the school.  

The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated and supportive professionals who are equally committed to providing outstanding learning experiences and raising achievement for all.  Working as part of our close knit team you will inspire and develop outstanding classroom practice with high aspirations for students. Through your passion for learning you will develop new and creative ideas, embedding an enjoyment of your subject into lessons and the wider school. 

You will be primarily responsible for: 

• The development of teaching and learning within Science  

• Contributing to the wider development of teaching and learning in the school  

• Provision of effective and targeted CPD and support for teachers within Science and, as appropriate, across the school and partner school

• The leadership of the small team of Science specialists in the development of outstanding schemes of work and assessment for Science.  

As part of the interview process candidates will be required to teach a sample lesson.
