We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated colleague to join us in a newly devised role of STEM Lead Practitioner. This exciting opportunity offers a unique stepping stone into senior leadership. As part of the Extended Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher responsible for Quality of Education to develop the teaching and learning across our STEM subjects, with a particular focus on science and maths.

In joining us, you will be joining a team of passionate colleagues with a shared vision to move the school onto the next stage in its improvement journey. The successful candidate will share our school values of respect, resilience and responsibility and will have clear evidence of how these values have been displayed within their current role.

Woodlands Community College is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a community state school within the Southampton Education Authority.  A secondary school with places for 900 students between the ages of 11-16, currently oversubscribed with 905 students currently on roll.

The school was opened by then-minister for schools David Miliband in 2003.
