The Westgate School came under new Headship in September 2023 and we have a team of Lead Practitioners to coach, support and inspire teachers to be the best classroom practitioners that they can be.

Applications from people with experience as SENDCo / Deputy SENDCo / SEND Teacher will be particularly welcome.

The role will include a small amount of teaching and the rest of the time is expected to be focused on in-class coaching, co-planning & delivery and modelling best practice. 

All post holders, if not already, will be supported to gain the SSAT’s Lead Practitioner accreditation.

Applicants are kindly asked to pay special attention to the person specification and be able, during a scrutinising interview process, to demonstrate substantial evidence against any of the criteria.
