De La Salle School is an oversubscribed, non-selective, co-educational, Roman Catholic secondary school for children aged 11-16 under the trusteeship of the Lasallian Brothers. The school is also the first school of the Laetare Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, the country’s first national MAT – set up for schools with a religious order charism.

 

The school is situated in Eccleston, a suburb of St Helens, Merseyside, within the Archdiocese of Liverpool and currently has 1,200 pupils on roll. We are a proud member of a Lasallian family of over 1 million staff and students in 80 countries around the world.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Senior Leadership Team as SENCo, with strategic oversight of both our specialist ASC base (Thrive) and wider SEND provision across the mainstream school. With a reduced teaching commitment, you will have the capacity to lead, influence, and embed inclusive practice at every level. In addition to the school’s mainstream SEND support, we also host the LA ASC base which we call Thrive. This has 3 dedicated teaching staff, an HLTA and wider team of TAs.

De La Salle School is a non-selective, co-educational, Roman Catholic secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in St.Helens, Merseyside, and currently has 1,200 pupils on roll. It is associated with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool.

De La Salle School has a designated unit for students with an autistic spectrum condition. Students who are members of this unit are fully integrated into the life and work of the school.
