Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding STEM practitioner who supports and encourages the learning of others and supports the professional development of all members of the teaching community at Ricards Lodge High School.  This post will work as part of a new developing team of leading teaching and learning practitioners who will monitor, evaluate and continually improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment across the school. The ability to teach A level is desirable but not essential.

Ricards Lodge High School is an outstanding, successful and vibrant multi-cultural comprehensive school for girls with a co-educational Sixth Form. We have high expectations of all our students and provide a dynamic and stimulating environment in which they can learn and develop as individuals.

About Ricards Lodge High School

Ricards Lodge High School is a girls-only, comprehensive secondary school with sixth form situated in Wimbledon, south-west London. It is a community state school and was known as The Wimbledon Day Commercial School when it opened in 1924.

A larger than average secondary school, Ricards Lodge provides 1,200 places for students between the ages of 11 and 19 when fully subscribed.

Ricards Lodge High School has a specialism in the performing arts and has gained the Artsmark Gold Award. The school believes that the risk-taking nature of the arts helps to increase self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as improving students' attitudes to learning.
