Job overview

We are seeking an exceptional practitioner to join our established team of Lead Practitioners at The Quest Academy, with the scope and ability to drive rapid, meaningful improvements in pedagogical practice across the school.

This is a transformational role, designed for an outstanding classroom practitioner who is passionate about the craft of teaching and committed to raising the quality of education for every student. Our Lead Practitioners provide training, coaching, and modelling for colleagues — translating evidence-informed practice into everyday classroom reality.

You may be an experienced teacher with a strong track record in delivering and refining high-quality instruction. You may have a particular interest in curriculum design, assessment, oracy, or inclusive pedagogy. Whatever your current role, this position offers an exciting opportunity to extend your impact beyond your own classroom and help shape the culture of teaching and learning across a dynamic and ambitious secondary school.

In this role, you will work alongside the Deputy Principal: Quality of Education and the Central Trust Team to engage in — and help shape — the school's Teaching and Learning strategy. You will model exemplary practice, lead professional development, support colleagues through coaching and structured observation cycles, and contribute to the school's evidence-informed approach to continuous improvement.

With a strong focus on collaboration, research-informed practice, and student-centred approaches, the Lead Practitioner for Teaching and Learning will build positive professional relationships across the school community to ensure that every learner benefits from the highest quality teaching every day.
