We are looking for a Lead Practitioner – Teaching and Learning of Vocational Subjects at Stoke Damerel Community College and Scott Medial and Healthcare College Campus.

Subject specific responsibilities:

  • Working with BTEC subject teachers to raise student achievement and develop the teaching and learning of the BTEC and other vocational subjects (eg Cambridge Nationals)
  • Work with the Teaching and Learning team to embed quality first teaching within

            the vocational department.

  • To work with the Teaching and Learning BTEC lead at Greenshaw Learning Trust to provide CPD to the BTEC teachers across the campus
  • To work with the Senior Leader Raising Standards Leads at KS4 and KS5 to identify student interventions and ensure robust tracking and assessment of internal and external assessments.
  • To work with the Senior Leader Raising Standards to develop the calendar of assessments, clearly communicated to students, parents and staff.
  • To teach at least one of our vocational subjects (PE, Sports Science, Health &; Social Care, Child Development, Music, Business, Travel and Tourism, IT)

 

You will need:

●       Successful experience of teaching BTEC / vocational subjects in previous school

●       Exceptional outcomes in subject area of expertise

●       Experience of teaching to at least GCSE higher level

●       Experience of driving improvement across an area of current school

●       Exceptional Practitioner

●       Planned & delivered impactful CPD
