Job overview

We require a qualified and experienced Lead Safeguarding Officer who will work alongside the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead to provide safeguarding and child protection across the school.

You will take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings, and contribute to the assessment of children. You will also advise and support other members of staff on child welfare and child protection matters, and liaise with relevant agencies such as the local authority and police.

You will be dedicated to championing the well being and safeguarding of children and have a thorough understanding of children's needs and relevant safeguarding legislation and statutory guidelines.

You will be committed to providing the highest standards of service and to developing services to adapt to the changing needs of The Community Schools Trust.

We are a forward-thinking school that has dispensed with formal lesson observations, retrospective book marking and written student exam reports whilst maintaining very high standards of care and outcomes. Behaviour is good and the students are keen to progress and are used to working hard.

We prefer candidates who are organised, friendly, and who possess a positive work ethic. Having a few good ideas is always welcome.

If you join us you will be part of a structured, committed and hardworking team that will look after you and help you progress in your career.
