The opportunity
We are now seeking to appoint an experienced, professional, and compassionate Lead School Nurse to join our dedicated team from January 2026.
The post holder will be responsible for leading and maintaining the effective operation of the school’s First Aid Units, ensuring that pupils receive exceptional nursing care, support, and advice that enables them to thrive physically, socially, and emotionally. The role also includes advising on the licensing and compliance of all school clinics, ensuring that standards meet both local regulations and UK best practice. The lead nurse also contributes towards creating and maintaining a safe environment by co-ordinating first aid readiness across the campus.
As Lead School Nurse, you will oversee a team of nurses across the College, providing clinical leadership, professional supervision, and strategic direction for health services. You will work closely with the safeguarding, counselling, and inclusion teams to promote a proactive and holistic approach to pupil well-being and health education throughout the school community.

About you
The ideal candidate will have a sensitive and caring nature, a Bachelor's degree in nursing and at least 3 years experience working in a clinical setting. Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting, would be advantageous. The ideal candidate would also be computer literate, proficient in the Microsoft suite and all Google features. You will be a skilled and confident practitioner who is able to work both independently and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and demonstrate sound clinical judgement when responding to medical or emotional needs within a busy school environment.
Registration as a nurse with the Department of Health in Qatar is mandatory for this post.
This is a local hire and unsponsored position, and remuneration is salary only (no additional benefits). Only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered.
We are a British international school, and all of our communication is conducted in English. Therefore, a high standard of written and spoken English is essential for this role.
