What we are looking for? 

You would be expected to provide outstanding learning to ensure excellence and achievement for all students, with a true commitment to raising standards. We require you to have experience of using a variety of different teaching and learning of Science, teaching throughout the College across the full age and ability range. Our curriculum includes Entry Level Certificate (Pre-GCSE), GCSE and BTEC Level 3. You would contribute to both Key Stage 4 and 5 lessons as well. The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record of teaching GCSE Science and ideally Level 3 experience, with student making good progress within a secondary setting.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record of teaching and student progress within a successful secondary school.  They will be expected to provide outstanding lessons to ensure excellence and achievement for all learners, with a true commitment to raising standards. You will need to have experience of using a variety of approaches to continually enhance teaching and learning throughout the school across the full age and ability range.  You will also need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong working relationships within secondary and school as a whole.

Waverley School is a co-educational, all-through school located in Birmingham, West Midlands. It has around 1800 pupils across its primary, secondary and sixth-form departments. The school is part of the Waverley Education Foundation, a multi-academy trust that also operates the local Waverley Studio College.

Waverley School became an all-through school in 2012 and moved to a new site in 2013. It is proud of its diverse student intake.
