Lead Science Technician
Scale: PO1 (£32,418)
36 hours per week x 52 weeks
A Lead Science Technician is required to join a friendly and dynamic Science team of 7
Science Teachers and one further technician who have a keen drive to maintain and promote
practical science at the heart of teaching and learning across all key stages and the three
Science disciplines. The successful candidate will be joining a science department with
their most successful year to date with 80% of our pupils achieving A*- C at GCSE.
The successful candidate will need the skills to be able to co-ordinate the work of the
Technicians and support the Science teachers with demonstrations and practical activities.
The Science department consists of 11 well equipped laboratories and an ICT suite.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for practical science and is
keen to take the next steps in their career.
