New Line Learning have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Student Support Manager, the successful candidate will be confident and experienced in supporting and working with Pupils and will be responsible for supporting two-year groups, carrying out patrol, manage pupils that are on report and monitor pupils in isolation. You will also oversee the Student Support Managers in the team.

The postholder, in accordance to school policies and procedures, will help pupils to self-regulate within a structured and calm environment to facilitate in returning them back to lessons.

You’ll be confident in a team leader role, and proven successes managing and delivering projects to time is desirable. You will be confident to lead and challenge as needed, you will have completed or willing to complete your Designated Safeguarding Training to become a safeguarding lead in the school and to work pragmatically and proactively with a broad range of internal and external partners.

This role requires you to use information to design and implement interventions and strategies with regards to pupil’s self-management, attainment and wellbeing liaising with the Well-Being Leader, Inclusion Manager and other Well Being resources as appropriate. 

This role will involve working with the Pastoral Team, subject teachers and pupils to identify barriers leading to disengagement and then supporting pupils to develop better self-regulation and management strategies.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal, be approachable and have the ability to build relationships across the school. You will be seen as a professional with integrity and enthusiasm for this area. You will need to use your own initiative and be able to manage a varied workload, accommodating the needs of individual pupils.  Previous experience of working within a school would be advantageous.
