We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Lead Teacher in Geography to join our dynamic and growing Geography and Humanities department. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional existing or aspiring leader, who is committed to teaching Geography across the Key Stages, to make a significant contribution to the professional leadership and management of Geography and who will embrace our drive to ensure that Geography is at the core of our Sixth Form offer.      

Bow is a rapidly expanding mixed 11 – 18 school in Bromley-by-Bow, London. It is an aspirational learning community that is determined to provide a rich and broad educational experience. 

Now fully settled into our fabulous new £31m building, we will be at full capacity by 2018. This summer we celebrated excellent exam success. At GCSE 64% achieved A* - C grades in both English and Maths - a fantastic 9 points higher than last year and  60% achieved at least 5 GCSEs at C or above, including English and Maths. Our first group of A Level students also set a very high bar for future years at an 86% pass rate.   

The diversity of the school community ensures that Bow is a vibrant and interesting place to work.  The successful candidates will demonstrate consistent high standards of teaching and excellent classroom management skills.
