Required from September 2019 we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with drive and ambition to oversee key aspects of our Reading agenda and Learning Resource Centre (LRC).
The Lead Teacher for Literacy and the LRC will be appointed as a full-time staff member to lead and manage the LRC which is used by the whole school community and to teach a reduced timetable of English lessons. They will assist with the acquisition, organisation, dissemination and exploitation of resources appropriate to the learning needs of the full age and ability range within our school. The exciting role will also involve launching a reading programme across the school and overseeing an established Peer Reading Scheme.
Working in partnership with teachers and associate staff, the new Lead Teacher for Literacy and the LRC, will enable students to access the curriculum to the fullest possible extent and develop the learning and information handling skills needed to become independent lifelong learners.
