About Spring Lane School: Spring Lane School is a dynamic and inclusive Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in Bury. Our school caters to students who require additional support and alternative education pathways.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Subject Lead for Art, Photography, and Multimedia to join our team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance the curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring high levels of interest, curiosity, and positive outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the delivery of Art, Photography, and Multimedia across the school, inspiring creativity and engagement in students.

· Design and implement a comprehensive and innovative curriculum that aligns with the needs of our students and the school's educational goals.

· Deliver lessons in Art, Photography, and Multimedia, as well as contribute to the core Key Stage 3 curriculum in Maths, English, and Wellbeing.

· Collaborate with other subject leads and staff members to integrate the subject areas across the curriculum pathways.

· Provide support and guidance to students, helping them explore their artistic abilities and talents.

· Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to help students succeed.

· Foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to take risks, express themselves, and develop their unique perspectives.

· Engage with parents and guardians to keep them informed of students' progress and achievements.

Key Requirements:

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Art, Photography, and Multimedia at the secondary level.

· Strong knowledge of the subject area, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the school.

· Commitment to the school's ethos and values, with a passion for supporting students' personal and academic development.

· Experience and understanding of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that individual needs are met and supported.

· Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment strategies.

· Passion for supporting young people and creating positive learning environments.

· Proven track record of successful leadership in an educational setting
