Job overview

We are seeking to make 2 appointments in the Maths Department, one as 2nd in Department and one as a lead teacher. For both posts, TLR 2 will be available and, for an exceptional person(s), TLR 1 will be considered. The post would suit a current postholder, or a person who is ready to take on a challenge. The person(s) appointed will be capable of teaching to A-Level, with at least one person capable of teaching Further Maths. 

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Bellerive Catholic College is a popular and oversubscribed school. The latest OFSTED inspection, October 2021, graded Bellerive as Good. Located in a pleasant area of the city, adjacent to two parks, the college is a non selective school for girls, with boys admitted to the sixth form. The intake is from over 60 primary schools throughout the city and beyond.

The college has benefited from significant capital expenditure, including a new Sixth Form block and excellent new teaching facilities.  New science laboratories, ICT and Technology facilities opened in September 2017, together with a new Sports Hall.
