Are you an excellent and highly skilled Teacher of Maths who has consistently demonstrated the highest standards of classroom practice and student success throughout your career?  

We are looking for a Lead Teacher for Maths to co-ordinate and inspire our teachers through being a highly effective teacher and leader who will assist the Lead Practitioner in developing numeracy and enrichment across Maths and the school. You will need to demonstrate strong training, coaching and mentoring skills assist to develop our ECTs, ITTs, and non-subject specialists.  

 

As Lead Teacher you will work hard to promote best practice across the Academy and Trust and be seen as an expert in your field. You will be research driven and be innovative with developing fresh and innovative ideas to build better outcomes for our students. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to relate well to children and adults, have the ability to deal with conflicting demands and be able to work flexibly. You will also be a talented individual who will foster a supportive learning environment for our students. Our ethos is children first and we’re here to transform the lives of children, many from hugely disadvantaged backgrounds. Working in our schools can be challenging, but hugely rewarding in terms of the difference you can make to children’s futures. 

 

You will be working with students, colleagues, and visitors across the school, so you will need to love working with people, have exceedingly high standards and be prepared to work hard. You will also uphold our values of Ambition, Bravery, and Respect throughout everything you deliver.  

 

We’re situated in the former industrial heartland of Yorkshire, close to the junction of the M62 and A1 and its transport links. The Trust currently comprises four schools across the primary and secondary phases, with plans for future growth and the opportunities that brings. Airedale Academy itself is a good school, with solid finances and rising pupil numbers over the next few years. In return, we offer an extensive programme of school and Trust CPD. To help you grow and develop as an excellent practitioner we will fund the Leading Practitioner Accreditation as part of this CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and our commitment to the importance of this role.
