We are looking to appoint a Lead Teacher of Computing and ICT for September 2024 with the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to continue to develop our exciting and engaging Key Stage 3 curriculum and shape the future of Computing and ICT at Woodlands. The post holder will build on the successes of our vocational programmes at KS4 to develop students’ skills in programming as well as the application of ICT knowledge. The offer of extra-curricular opportunities will be key to broadening the horizons of students of all ages.  

As the Lead Teacher of Computing and ICT you will join our successful Design Technology faculty, as well as having the opportunity to work alongside lead teachers in other faculty areas. The school has a strong CPD pathway for leaders at all levels, and the successful candidate will have access to a wide range of opportunities, including NPQ programmes that suit their interests and experiences.

Woodlands Community College is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a community state school within the Southampton Education Authority.  A secondary school with places for 900 students between the ages of 11-16, currently oversubscribed with 905 students currently on roll.

The school was opened by then-minister for schools David Miliband in 2003.
