Job overview

We are looking for an outstanding MFL specialist with a proven track record to lead MFL in our small school. This is fantastic opportunity for an aspiring middle leader. MFL currently is in the EBACC faculty which also includes History and Geography.

We enter this new academic year with another record breaking set of GCSE results which places the school well above national averages on a range of measures. In addition, more students than in previous years left Parkside this summer to continue their studies at A level, with a view to attending university. We are determined to provide the best possible education for all students by raising their aspirations.    Our work with parents and carers is focused on creating a ‘passport’ for our children’s future, which will enable them to make informed choices and realistic decisions about their next ‘destination’. It is important that we equip students with the attitude, skills and abilities to cope with a rapidly changing world. The school invests heavily in its extra-curricular programme to enable students to gain the wider experiences and skills to become confident, happy and successful young adults in the future.   The school will seek to invest in the successful candidate, offering extensive CPD opportunities to fast track to middle leadership through enrolment on national leadership programmes. A CPD plan will be designed to ensure career progression in line with aspirations and personal goals.    If you would like to join a small, improving school, where every person matters, please submit your application by the closing date. Applicants are encouraged to visit the school prior to the closing date.  Appointment will, of course, be subject to appropriate child safeguarding procedures.  Employment is subject to satisfactory medical and police clearance together with an enhanced DBS.

If you are interested in applying for the post, further information can be obtained by visiting the school website:
