In September 2019, the King’s School, Canterbury, dating back to 597 and one of the UK’s leading co-educational boarding schools, opened its first overseas branch, a Kindergarten/Pre-Prep department (ages 2-6) in Shenzhen, China’s fastest growing city. This will be followed by Primary and Junior Schools in September 2020 and the Middle and Senior High Schools in 2021. King’s in Shenzhen offers a blended bi-cultural and bilingual pedagogy and it has already been successful and gaining an excellent reputation for the quality of its teaching, its focus on the well-being of children, and its inclusive approach.
We are now seeking an outstanding Lead Teacher of Music to join our first team of Primary and Junior School teachers with responsibility both for the teaching of music and for developing the School's music tradition. This should be a very attractive opportunity for those wanting to take their first steps into Asia or for those with previous experience. Shenzhen is a very exciting place to be; it is China's fourth largest and fastest growing city, the home of some of China's leading technology companies, and the hub of the Greater Bay Area. The King's School, Canterbury, also has a wonderful musical history and an extremely well-resourced and staffed department to provide both inspiration and resources.
Applications should be submitted by 09:00 (China time) on Monday 09 December. Further details available via this page on the TES, from our website https://www.kings-school.com.cn/vacancies/ and from firstname.lastname@example.org.

1. Forward a Personal Statement to email@example.com.
2. Complete EITHER the TES application form obtainable through the TES advertisement OR our own form found at https://www.kings-school.com.cn/vacancies/.
