Lead Teacher of Science

Carlton le Willows Academy are looking to appoint a Lead Teacher of Science to join our academy in September 2024 on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Lead Teacher you will provide pedagogic leadership as an outstanding classroom practitioner, playing a key part in raising standards through the model of your own excellent teaching and by supporting the professional development of your colleagues. The ultimate aim will be to improve the learning experience and increase the outcomes of pupils, whatever their ability.

Results

With a consistent record of high academic attainment, Carlton le Willows remains one of the top performing schools in the area. In summer 2023 78% of pupils secured a Grade 4+ in English and Maths and 55% achieved this at grade 5+. Across the board 76% of pupils achieved grade 4+ in five or more GCSEs and our progress score was +0.2 placing us above similar schools nationally

A level students in our high performing sixth form achieved a 100% pass rate in 2023, with the average A level grade a B-, retaining our reputation for academic excellence post 16.
