Job overview

Tudor Grange Primary Academy St James is a thriving and highly successful single-form Primary Academy which serves the Shirley community in Solihull.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and ambitious Early Years Lead who is committed to the highest standards of Education and who can demonstrate leadership and management skills compatible with our Academy’s vision, mission and values.

The Academy provides quality education aimed at nurturing the development of the whole child concept, whilst emphasising a solid foundation based on the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The successful candidate will be working under the direction of the Principal who has very high aspirations for the academy and this is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring and dedicated Early Years specialist to join the senior leadership team to fully support parents, pupils and staff as they develop the already strong provision of the EYFS and work towards whole school improvement.

The role will involve working across the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Applications are invited from experienced Early Years teachers and leaders with the ability, passion and commitment to play an active role in the leadership and management of the academy, with aspirations towards further leadership roles in the future.

Visits from prospective applicants are strongly encouraged and can be arranged via email at office@stjames.tgacademy.org.uk or by telephoning the academy 0121 744 7897.

Application forms are available to download from the school website or via email from office@stjames.tgacademy.org.uk.

The recruitment process is robust in seeking to establish the commitment of candidates to support the school’s measures to safeguard children and to identify, deter or reject people who might pose a risk of harm to children or are otherwise unsuited to work with them. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. All applications will be considered on their merit and the post will be offered subject to the usual health and criminal record clearance. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
