LOCATION: Dagenham, Essex

CONTRACT TYPE: Full-time

CONTRACT TERM: Permanent

SALARY: Competitive, based on previous experience and qualifications

JOB STARTS: As soon as possible

This position is required as soon as possible to develop and lead the role of Construction or GCSE Design Technology.

We are looking for an inspirational, committed, talented and solution focused professional to transform the teaching of their subject area to our very special pupils who are following a vocational programme at our motorvations@hopewell site.

Motorvations is part of Hopewell school which is a specialist SEMH school for young people with a range of emotional and behavioural challenges and needs. We currently have 42 pupils on roll – up to 12 of which are based at the motorvations centre.

Over the last three years the school has been through rapid changes and developments which have taken the school from Inadequate to being judged as “Good” at our last inspection in June 2019.

We are looking for someone who can take  accredited courses and bring them alive in a way that both engages and motivates our pupils. You will have experience working with young people with SEMH and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key to the work. Your enthusiasm for planning and delivering exciting and imaginative lessons will inspire Hopewell pupils to learn and achieve the very best outcomes, educationally as well as for their social and emotional development.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our school on the next phase of its journey and play a key role in the development and learning of our students. As the Construction Lead you will become part of a team that will specialise in delivering a curriculum designed to meet individual needs and give our pupils the best possible educational outcomes.

Across the Hopewell sites we aim to provide our pupils with a unique, bespoke creative curriculum supported within a holistic framework of therapeutic intervention, and we are looking for the next member of our teaching team to enhance their learning experience.
