Description All Saints’ College Maitland is seeking a permanent full time Leader of Administration to join the College.



All Saints' College, Maitland is the largest Catholic College in the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese catering for students from Years 7 to 12. The College has consolidated and combined two proud Catholic Schools: St Peter’s (7-10) and St Mary’s (11-12) All Saints’ College is now united under one 7-12 leadership model.



Responsibilites of the Leader of Administration include:


• Implements relevant policies, procedures and structures that are conducive to the efficient daily functioning of the College 7-12.


• Responsible for the supervision and management of the College Administration Coordinator in their role of daily appointing and managing casual staff and arranging the replacement of absent staff.


• Maintains the College Calendar on a daily basis ensuring that staff are informed of all events, variations to routine and staff movements via daily electronic notices.


• Supports the College Principal and Heads of Campus in the staffing processes across the College.


• Maintains a good working knowledge of the College’s key management systems including Compass and Edval.


• Assists in developing the College timetable, including the construction of elective lines and allocation of teaching and other duties in consultation with the Assistant Principals, Head of Campus’ and College Principal.


• Liaises with staff for administrative support of special events including camps, liturgies, award evenings, parent-teacher interviews.


• Responsible for the construction and notification of all exam timetables and supervision rosters.


• Other appropriate duties as required by the Principal.
Position Requirements The Leader of Administration is a member of the College's Leadership Team, which comprises the Principal, Head of Campuses, Assistant Principal(s) and other Coordinators. As a member of the Leadership Team the Leader of Administration will offer assistance and support in:


• the day to day operation of the School


• promotion of the Catholic ethos of the School


• the implementation of the School's policies and procedures


• the promotion of the hospitality, accessibility and visibility of the leadership team

Essential Criteria • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.

• Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards the attainment of their potential.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes

• Ability to communicate effectively and have an understanding of the need to work collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider community in order to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.

• Desire to contribute to the establishment of a staff wide culture of professional learning, reading and reflective practice.

• A demonstrated capacity to think and act strategically; to exercise sound judgement; and to support the Leadership Team in leading the mission of the school.

• Extensive knowledge of computer programs essential to administrative roles within a school, in particular Edval and Compass.

• Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. Category C – Accreditation for Leadership

The applicant must provide evidence of the following:

• Qualifications as a four year trained teacher;

• Current NESA Accreditation;

• Current Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)number;

• Completion of Anaphylaxis training.

Conditions of EmploymentSalary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2017. This position attracts a 3 Pt Allowance of $23,976/annually in addition to the base salary.

The Catholic Schools Office (CSO), is responsible for the leadership, efficient operation and management of systemic schools which educate more than 18,000 students in 45 Primary schools, 10 Secondary schools and one K-12 school in the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
