The Samuel Lister Academy is rapidly improving and is innovative in its technology rich environment with an Apple ICT solution throughout. The Academy is also part of the Priority Schools Building Programme and will have a new build in Spring 2017.

We are looking to appoint a Leader of Humanities who will be responsible for raising standards of attainment and achievement in RE, Geography & Sociology.  The successful candidate will have experience of leading, coaching and motivating staff to bring about improvements in Teaching and Learning. You will have the ability to use data to inform and diagnose areas of underperformance that need addressing and have experience of implementing strategies to establish consistently high standards of achievement and attainment in Humanities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong Humanities department and would be an ideal role for an experienced member of staff looking for their next challenge.

  • An excellent Humanities classroom practitioner who is passionate about attainment and progress of our students
  • A practitioner with a proven record of raising and maintaining high educational standards.
  • The ability to enthuse, inspire & motivate staff and students alike

The Samuel Lister Academy is an 11-18 Academy situated in the in semi-rural surroundings in Bingley, close to the North West boundary of the City of Bradford.
