The Governors are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly motivated Leader of Learning for Music to join a strong and enthusiastic Performing Arts team where teachers are committed to delivering a high quality, lively and interesting curriculum to challenge and inspire all our students.  An ability to teach drama would be useful.

Lyng Hall School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in the West Midlands, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Wyken, Coventry has approximately 703 students on record.

Lyng Hall School was identified as good by Ofsted in 2012. Facilities include a performance theatre, swimming pool, athletics track, photography studio, music rooms, media rooms and a professionally fitted catering kitchen.

The secondary school works to deliver pupils a broad and balanced curriculum where learning is made enjoyable and where individual talents and skills can develop. It is important for the school that pupils are fully prepared for life after secondary school, and a wide range of careers advice is available throughout each school year, with Year 7 pupils being given an insight into university life, while Year 13 students gain interview practice to prepare them for their future job hunt. The school holds status as a specialist Sports College and has achieved the Achievement for All Quality Mark and is a Careers Academy and Gold Healthy Schools status.
