We are looking for an experienced and highly committed Teacher of Health and Social Care / Child Development to lead the Health Studies Department at Holly Lodge School.
Holly Lodge School is a mixed 11-19 Specialist Science College. Currently it has 1500 students on roll, and is now oversubscribed due to the rapid improvement that the school has successfully made. The school has extensively transformed through ‘building schools for the future’ programme with a new £23.5 million school that completed in September 2011 offering state of the art teaching and learning facilities.
We are a thriving and exciting school, which has made significant progress in recent years. In 2016 the schools key stage 4 results showed progress 8 measures significantly above national. Post 16 results have demonstrated a year on year improvement in both academic and vocational outcomes.
The school was described by OFSTED as a ‘Good’ school with ‘dynamic leadership’, ‘high quality teaching’ and effective support systems in the last inspection in 2013.
