TBAP Multi-Academy Trust has 3 regional hubs based in London, the East and North-West of England delivering high quality education and intervention through our Alternative Provision Academies, SEMH Provision and outreach teams. TBAP New Horizons AP Academy is an alternative provision that provides full-time education and support for up to 56 primary and secondary learners who are not accessing mainstream school. We have an inclusive philosophy and believe passionately in giving every learner we meet many chances to succeed. 

We are looking for a Leader of Learning (Non-Core subjects) based at New Horizons AP Academy; to become a middle leader who co-ordinate and line manager non-core subject teachers and support staff.

The successful candidate will take strategic responsibility for the delivery of a number of curriculum areas. They will co-ordinate the work of the subject lead teachers and ensure that all learners make progress in learning through: 

  • Monitoring schemes of work in each subject area
  • Developing personalised and innovative curriculum offers 
  • Maintaining an over view of curriculum folders
  • Leading assessment, tracking and interventions
  • Monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning through work scrutiny, learning walks and lesson observations
  • Leading and delivering CPD 
  • Line management of teachers.

The subjects include but are not limited to:

  • Humanities
  • Design Technology
  • Art
  • PE.
