Somervale is a Media Arts College working as part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership, a multi-academy trust consisting of 3 Secondary Schools (Norton Hill, Somervale and St Dunstan’s) and 6 Primary Schools (Clutton, High Littleton, Trinity, Dundry, Longvernal and Welton). The trust schools have a total of 2450 students on roll. Somervale is a small school by design with a roll of 500 students, allowing for a more personalised approach to teaching and learning. Post 16 students are taught as part of the Midsomer Norton Sixth Form (370 on roll) with lessons being taught at both Somervale and Norton Hill. The school offers BTEC, VCERT, GCSE and A Level courses.

We are seeking to appoint a well organised, reliable and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to support the school Leadership Team. The role will involve supporting the Head’s PA to ensure work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. You should have excellent IT skills including the use of all Microsoft Office programs. A knowledge of SIMS would be beneficial but training will be given.

Organisation, time management and the ability to communicate effectively are of great importance within this role.

This is a new post which in the future may progress to the role of Headteacher’s PA.
