Job overview

This role will be 0.6 classroom teaching, 0.4 working with colleagues across the North Staffordshire Learning Community. The role will be based at Clayton Hall Academy. 

General Duties:

Carry out “the duties of a school teacher” as set out in the Conditions of Service for School Teachers in England and Wales.

To do other reasonable tasks as laid down in the School Teacher Pay and Conditions document and as required from time to time at the discretion of the Headteacher.

Overall responsibility:

To support the raising of standards and improvement of student outcomes in English in our secondary academies across Windsor Academy Trust’s North Staffordshire Learning Community.

Specific Duties:  

  • Flying the WAT flag for our culture
  • Modelling great teaching
  • Improving the quality of teaching in the subject across the North Staffordshire Learning Community

Supporting the Windsor Academy Trust Subject Director with:

  • Curriculum design and implementation
  • Assessment design and assessment activities
  • Teacher coaching
  • The delivery of trust-wide and school-based subject Continuous Professional Learning
  • The delivery of the teaching + programme
