Haybrook College is an Alternative Provision Academy for young people aged 11 to 16, who have challenging and complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) or medical needs. We have multiple provisions providing bespoke, child-centred, and high-quality education programmes, which aim to ensure that all the pupils individual educational needs are met.
About the Role
• Support pupils with SEMH and additional needs in and out of the classroom.
• Build trusting and positive relationships to support pupil progress.
• Promote inclusion, independence, and achievement.
• Assist teachers with planning, behaviour management, and learning activities.
• Organise and lead group and extra-curricular activities at break and lunch times.
• Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional standards.
What We're Looking For
• An inspirational and proactive team player with a sense of humour.
• A commitment to motivate and support pupils with complex needs.
• Experience working with young people, especially those with SEMH.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, active listeners.
• GCSE Level 2 education (or equivalent).
• A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel between sites would be a benefit.

This is a term time position paid on the Slough Level 3 pay scale (range 1 – 4). The starting salary is Level 3.1 £22,865 (£26,583) Full Time Equivalent for 39 weeks per year, term time plus Inset Days.
