The Mablethorpe Primary Academy currently have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Learning Assistant to support a named pupil.

We are seeking to appoint a committed and talented Learning Assistant to work with and give social and emotional support to a named pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will promote development and learning, and will help to ensure full participation. You will support the child’s cognition, learning and give age appropriate social interaction. 

This position is fixed term, as it is linked to pupil funding and will include working with small groups and on a one to one basis.

We are looking to recruit someone with first class communication skills, the ability to engage constructively with, and relate to young people and someone with high expectations of achievement and behaviour. Previous experience of working in a similar role and with pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) would be advantageous. 

The Mablethorpe Primary Academy opened in 2012 on the edge of the seaside town of Mablethorpe. The academy benefits from recent renovations, and prides itself on academic excellence.

This role is for 18 hours a week, Monday to Friday and is required in term time only; therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary.
