Contract: Permanent – full time and part time. Multiple positions available across our centres

About the Role:  We have multiple positions available across our centres for enthusiastic and professional Learning Assistants. Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering an effective support service through working closely with learners on barriers to learning, under the direction of teachers and/or supervisors, leading to improved outcomes for learners and greater autonomy and independence. As well as maximising success of learners who may have a support need, working closely with teaching staff and support colleagues. All Learning Assistants will have General and Specific Duties.  The Specific Duties will relate to a given specialism e.g. Deaf/Hearing Impaired (CSW/ Note Taker); Care Leavers; Mental Health; Behaviour Support (BESD). 

Essential Requirements: 

- Educated to level 3 or equivalent.  

- BSL Level 3 minimum for CSWs working with BSL users 

- BSL Level 2 minimum + Level 2 Certificate in Manual or Electronic Notetaking for Deaf People (CACDP or equivalent) for CSWs working with oral learners who may use some sign 

- Level 2 English qualification for those working with Deaf/Hearing Impaired
