We are seeking an excellent teacher to take on the role of Learning Co-ordinator for English as an additional language and English Teacher. The successful candidate will lead on the development of high quality teaching and the provision of high quality support and interventions for students with English as an additional language. Oasis Academy Hadley is an inclusive all-through, 2 to 18 academy that is committed to giving children the best possible education. High-performing and continuously improving, we are located in our state of the art building, a two minute walk from Ponders End train station.

The Academy serves the ethnically and economically diverse local communities in North Eastern Enfield. A high proportion of students have English as an additional language (69%) with over 60 languages spoken. Turkish, Black Caribbean, Somali and Bangladeshi are our biggest ethnic groups. Despite the challenges many of our students face in their day to day lives our students are ambitious and work hard, seeing education as the key to a successful future.

The Academy’s students make good progress exceeding or equaling national averages across the academy. Each year around 95% of our students progress to university with half going to Russell Group universities following a wide range of courses. Outside the classroom a wide range of extra-curricular activities provide enrichment opportunities for our students. The work of the Academy is supported by the Oasis Hub Hadley which provides integrated, high quality services that benefit students and their families.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children in North East London.
