Haydon is a large, friendly and creative school in North West London. We have been judged as outstanding by OFSTED. We are looking for a passionate Learning Coach to thrive in our supportive environment.

The Role

  • Assist students with the development of communication, reading and writing skills, manual dexterity skills, basic educational skills and general curriculum activities as directed
  • To provide support for students with special educational needs across all areas of the curriculum, age groups and difficulties including physical disabilities and emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities
  • Ensure that students have appropriate specialised equipment made available to them as required
  • Encourage students to act independently as appropriate
  • To help enable class teacher to engage closely with all SEND and low attaining students
  • Lead small group interventions

Haydon School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Middlesex serving pupils from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Eastcote, Pinner has approximately 2000 students on record. 

Haydon school was established in 1977 and converted to academy status in 2011 and was identified as outstanding by Ofsted in 2007.

Pupils are encouraged to get involved in extra-curricular activities to further their opportunities and expand their skills outside the classroom, which range from sports and art clubs. Incentives to develop leadership skills include The Duke of Edinburgh Award and Student Voice.
