Job overview

Learning Director of Humanities.  This is a TLR 1b post (£10,210 pa) to start on 1st September 2021.

This is a strategically important post in the school’s leadership structure and involves responsibility for all aspects of teaching and learning in Geography.  In addition, there is a leadership and management oversight for the other subjects in the Humanities Area of Learning and Experience.  These include History, Religious Studies and Business Studies.  The successful candidate will be a member of the School Improvement Group.

The vacancy arises because of the promotion of the current postholder.  

Elfed High School was judged to be ‘Excellent’ by Estyn in 2015 and was categorised as a ‘Green’ Support School by the Welsh Government in 2015 and 2016.  The school won the Wales Quality Award in 2016.
