We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Enhancement Teacher for a part-time contract in 2020.

In this role you will:
• assist teachers to assess, plan, implement and evaluate programs for students, individual, groups and class settings;
• respond to identified learning needs of students;
• consult with relevant school personnel and other agencies;
• in consultation acquire, develop and provide suitable resources and programs;
• engage in professional development with teaching colleagues;
• attend external professional develop opportunities relevant to the role;
• assist with student assessments in Literacy and Numeracy;
• develop explicit strategies to support identified students in Gifted and Talented;
• promote thinking skills;
• improve the capability of staff to differentiate the curriculum;
• communicate with teachers and ST:IE on progress of support provided;
• work collaboratively with all school support personnel;
• collaborate with teachers to effectively use student data records for learning improvement and extension activities; and
• report to the leadership team each term.

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Estimated Start Date:  Commencing January 2020

Employment Tenure:   Part Time + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"):  For 2020 school year

If Part Time, hours and/or days required: 3 days per week

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
