Job Description: Learning Enrichment Assistant
Reporting to: Head of Learning Enrichment

The main duties and responsibilities of a Learning Enrichment Assistant at Multinational School – Bahrain are:
• To collaboratively produce the Individual Enrichment Plans.
• To maintain daily communication with parents.
• To provide feedback to students and reward achievement and effort.
• To assist students in performing all school activities.
• To reinforce learning in small groups or with individuals.
• To oversee students during non-classroom times such as break times and excursions.
• To assist with individualised learning materials.
• To observe and record behaviour daily.
• To assist in the observation and assessment of students.
• To maintain records relative to specific programmes and student performance.
• To assist in related duties which may be assigned because of specific needs.
• To adjust lesson plans to accommodate the student’s behavioural and emotional needs.
• To reinforce social and personal skills to ensure the successful inclusion of the student.
• To attend professional development programmes.
• To maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
• To follow directions and meet deadlines.
• To maintain confidentiality.
• To adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
• To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom.
• To complete other duties as assigned.

Introduction

Multinational School Bahrain is an inclusive BSO (British Schools Overseas) accredited private school situated in the suburb of Adliya in Manama, Bahrain. The school caters for students from Nursery to Year 13 and boasts a dedicated Learning Enrichment Department offering support to students with varying educational requirements.

History

The school’s campus has a long and colourful history having previously housed the U.S. Embassy and the New York Institute of Technology prior to becoming a school in 2013.

The school initially followed the Australian curriculum before switching to the British curriculum under its new ownership in 2017 and is now a fully accredited British School Overseas. The vibrant and welcoming school community now comprises of over 50 different nationalities and continues to go from strength to strength.
