Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Hub Manager/Academic Coach who will oversee the management of the learning hub with the other manager, and who can tutor small groups and individual students in English / Literacy up to GCSE level.
The successful candidate should be able to offer excellent communication skills along with experience of working with young people. Academically you would need to be sufficiently qualified to tutor students to GCSE standard (see person specification).
This position provides excellent preparation for people who are considering careers in teaching and who are looking to gain experience of working with young people or working in a school setting.

Wood Green Academy is a large 11-19 multicultural comprehensive school set in Wednesbury in the heart of the Black Country. The academy is located about 15km from the centre of Birmingham and has excellent national links by having the M5 and M6 nearby.
