We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual to join our Inclusion team, with a particular focus on Key Stage 4 students. The colleague appointed to this team will enjoy working with students on a 1-1 basis and in small groups.  They will be confident in addressing challenging behaviour with positive outcomes and have a successful background in addressing barriers to learning.  They will be able to form strong, mutually respectful relationships with student, parents, staff and colleagues from outside agencies, ensuring the most effective support is provided for their students.  The role of Learning Manager is key providing support for students in order to ensure they fulfil their potential and aspirations.  The postholder will monitor all students in their allocated year groups in terms of their academic progress, attendance and behaviour; providing intervention and support where needed to ensure students are successful.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Analysing academic, attendance and behaviour data to identify and prioritise students needing support
  • Ensuring behaviour at the school is outstanding; providing information, support and guidance for teaching staff in promoting positive behaviour
  • Implementing, monitoring and evaluating positive behaviour plans, pastoral support plans and Early Help Assessments
  • Working with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to support Vulnerable children
  • Working collaboratively with outside agencies ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students

The following qualifications and experience are essential:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) Grade C or above
  • Experience of working in a secondary school with students with challenging behaviour
  • Experience of mentoring students
  • Experience of working with outside agencies
  • Experience of child protection issues
