If so, come and join our outstanding team at Kirkby College!

We are excited to announce that Kirkby College will be joining the Outwood Family of Schools during the summer term 2022, therefore successful candidates will be joining a highly innovative, inspirational and successful organisation.  The Trust guarantees every member of staff development opportunities and various routes for career progression. You will benefit from and be able to access the extensive advice, support, resources, CPD and career opportunities available across the Outwood Grange Family of Schools.

The academy seeks applications from outstanding applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’.

Located in the town of Kirkby in Ashfield, the academy is about to embark on an exciting journey which will include a full school rebuild in the next 2 years. The commitment to make a difference for the children of Kirkby College is what drives us. If this drives you too this could be the role you seek where your efforts will make a significant difference. We believe that children never achieve their full potential if their time at school is wasted, and consequently we expect our staff to bring out the best in each and every student. Our diverse curriculum has something for everyone, with extra guidance for those requiring additional support, and we do whatever it takes to help young people develop a sense of responsibility – towards themselves, each other, their community and the wider world. If you share our worldview and want to make a real difference to the lives of young people in Kirkby in Ashfield, you can join us in transforming futures.

Kirkby College in conjunction with Outwood Grange Academies Trust will place students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment.

Required to start as soon as possible, we have an exciting opportunity and are looking to recruit 3  Learning Managers to provide support and direction to students in order for them to achieve their potential in all aspects of Academy life.  You must have experience of working within a school environment and the ability to deal with vulnerable students, as well as being extremely well organised and the ability to prioritise your workload to ensure that deadlines are met.

The ability to work on your own initiative and work within a team environment is key.

About The Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT)

Interim Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

The Outwood Grange Academies Trust was born out of the success of Outwood Grange: a large school with 2,200 students, which has achieved record results for the last decade.

As one of the highest performing Family of Schools in the North of England, we have transformed education and outcomes across a network of 40 primary and secondary academies. Working closely together and sharing best practice, our schools do whatever it takes to ensure that every child, irrespective of starting point, can realise his or her full potential and unique talents.

Whether you’re joining us as a support staff member, an ECT, in a leadership position, and everything in between, we will invest in you and your development throughout your career.

By all working together, supporting and motivating each other, we believe we can raise current standards, and transform the lives of our students. If, as a Trust, we support you to help you reach your potential, we can help ensure all the children you teach will also reach theirs.
